Eu: 100% PV installed in public buildings! The total PV installed capacity target for 2023 is 1TW

The European Union plans to announce a plan to "digitize energy systems" and invest 565 billion euros ($556 billion) in infrastructure by 2030, hoping to boost renewable energy and end dependence on Russian fossil fuels.

The plan includes:

Install solar panels on the roofs of all commercial and public buildings in the EU by 2027;

Install solar panels on the roofs of all new homes in the EU by 2029;

Install 10 million heat pumps in the next five years;

Ensure 30 million zero-emission cars on the road by the end of 2030.

The plan is the latest effort by the European Union to wean itself off Russian gas and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. And a task force will be set up by March next year to promote energy data sharing between countries and companies that produce it. The panel will also support transmission system operators in creating grid "digital twins" to improve efficiency.

In addition, the vice President of the European Commission proposed that "Europe needs to separate from natural gas as soon as possible to protect citizens from the impact of soaring energy prices". The European Photovoltaic Association proposed the need to pay more attention to solar energy, raising the cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity in the EU to 1TW in 2030.
